So yeah… I’ve seen the movie twice so far… there’s a reasonably good chance that I’ll go see it again as well… such is the life of a comic book geek, I suppose.

This will probably be a short post because, while I can’t imagine this is true, it is at least possible that there are some people out there who haven’t seen the movie.  People in the hospital and such…

But WOW!  Remember when DC was kicking Marvel’s butt because they couldn’t make a watchable movie to save their lives?!?  Man, that has changed.  This thing had exactly the right mix of story, action and comedy to keep you engaged throughout the entire film… and is it me, or did the Hulk just steal the show?

…and how about the sneak peek of the next Big Bad?!?  I did not see that coming… at all.  I’d be hesitant to think that they’ll be able to pull him off in a movie, but let’s face it.  They made Loki a viable movie character.  If you can do that, you can do anything!

But they really should have let Hank in the film… Hank rocks!

And I’m back on the road.  I am much more excited to be picking up Brittany than is absolutely necessary, but there you go.  My house will be complete again!

You know, I’m always trying to improve my art, so I find it incredibly hard to intentionally draw something badly.  It was necessary in this case, however, in order to simulate Draw Something on the iphone… my finger is too big and stubby to produce anything beyond woeful, I’m afraid.

Regardless, aside from being too simple sometimes, it is a surprisingly fun little game.  If they ever do come out with DrawSomeTheory, I will buy it in a heartbeat!  I will pre-rate it four Sheldon’s out of five!

So… Colorforms… much to my surprise, they still exist.  I have two questions:

1. Why did we enjoy these things so much as kids?!?  Seriously!  These things were the bomb when I was a young’un, but I’m not entirely sure why… but we’d play with these things for hours, and we wouldn’t stop until they were too dusty to cling anymore… then the begging cycle to get Mom and Leon to buy us new sets began all over again.
2. Why did these things never end up on the parents cars?  It seems so logical now.  Vinyl cling — Shiny car… a match made in heaven.  Then again, maybe they never went on the car because of what might have happened had Leon caught us putting things on his car… he wasn’t really that big of a Charlie Brown fan, after all…

Ah well, time to check on the ham… Happy Easter!

Oh to be young and a gamer… you know… with people around to game with…

Laurie and Brit were kind enough to buy me this for Christmas.  I’m a huge Neverwinter Nights fan, so this became a must have the moment I saw it on the shelves…

I’m not a big MMO fan though, so I look on to the upcoming game with mixed emotions.  You know I’m going to play, but I don’t know how *much* I’m going to play.  I fear that it will just devolve into so much grinding and raiding and lose that bit of magic that makes Neverwinter such a fun place to be…

…but we’ll see.

Also, did I mention that I really want to get an actual game of D&D going sometime?  Is that too much to ask?  Surely someone out there wants to play?  I’m good on any version from the (pre-pink) blue box on up!  Anyone?…

For the record, the only portrait I’m reasonably pleased with is Ron Paul.  The rest… well, my comics are late enough as it is.

All I’m saying is that I want to be inspired…

I’d really like to see today bring a little clarity to the Republican nomination process…  Don’t get me wrong… I enjoy endless debates filled with little or no substance and backstabbing across the airwaves as much as the next guy, but it’s really starting to wear on the nerves just a little bit.

Every time I flip on the TV and see these guys flapping their jaws, it’s like watching an episode of ‘America’s Least Wanted’.  Dare I suggest that if you want to be elected President that you start acting presidential?!?  I’m just saying…

So four strips featuring North Korea in a row… I’ll admit that that’s a bit much, but then Time came out with their magazine cover, and… Come on!!! How could I not fix it for them?  I’m sure they’ll appreciate it.  I mean, what kind of egg would they have on their face if they released the magazine with the wrong dead dictator on the cover?!?  That would just be wrong.

I think my cover is prettier as well.  I did have to change Mr. Powell’s teaser to match the story to the new imagery, but I’m sure I’ve captured the gist… maybe I should buy this issue and read the story just to be sure, eh?

Okay… so Tuesday… No North Koreans, I promise!

So it took two extra days, but I’m finally satisfied with panel four.  As it happens, that last panel is also the second time I had a picture in my mind and was able to lay it down pretty much exactly as I envisioned it (the first was the recent Munchkin riff).  I’m this close to calling myself a real cartoonist!

I know it was only a decoration on the saddle blanket, but the but the very first thing I thought of when I saw the statue was My Little Ponies.  Of course, in North Korea, I imagine Hasbro markets it as My Little Ponies: Oppression is Magic.  You can see the appeal to L’il Kim, right?  I actually had to look up the proper name for the little mark on the hindquarters.  It’s a cutie mark, right?  I didn’t know the proper name because I have steadfastly steered clear of any opportunity to watch Friendship is Magic.  Cute as they are, the last thing I need is another time consuming obsession.  Save it for the Bronies.  I’m fine as I am.
