So, yeah… I’ve always struggled with the idea of a buffer as it always felt a bit too restrictive. I mean, let’s face it… if something stupid shows up in the news, I am probably going to want to riff on it right away. A well stocked buffer has always felt too restrictive for this. However, an empty buffer means that things are late, and you get cleverly captioned pictures of the water closet… and no one wants that. So, I’ve put some thought into how to make a buffer work for me, and I think I’ve got it cracked. I’ll post more about that later.
For the moment, I want to remind you that there was once a man who was not, in fact, Bob. In a disappearance reminiscent of Amelia Earhart, he disappeared without a trace. Rumors are, however, that he can be found if you just know the right frequency… What is the Frequency, Kenneth?
But the photos were entertaining…
Also, does the dialogue in panel four mean…the NewsGuy is actually YOU?!
“Edit”: yes, I know you are not Newsguy, or an anchorman, I was just being silly…
Good point… I’ll have to fix that won’t I?
There you go! Fixed it!
Just because you HAVE a buffer doesn’t mean you HAVE to use it when something occurs in the news – the buffer will keep, and you’ll be ahead in the game.
Sounds like win/win to me.
Awww… you stole my post for later. Yes, that was exactly my thought. Fill the buffer and those days that I want to riff, just pause for station identification!
Damn lol! That’s some cool 4th-wall-breaking there. I see you’re using Windows XP, by the way?
I do break that wall from time to time… gag-a-day allows it, and yes, that’s my photoshop computer which runs XP. Vista still bogs down too much. It also boots into Linux (SuSE), but not when running photoshop, of course…
I love that you’re using Mozilla Firefox! Fantastic strip!
I toyed with Chrome for a while, but it proved annoying in the long run and didn’t have a linux variant.
