So it will come as no surprise to anyone here that I’ve been suffering an artistic crisis of faith over the last year or so… I have so many folders on my hard drive of half-finished comics… comics that I’d gotten about half-way through drawing before deciding that something was wrong with the art and just throwing in the towel… that’s a bit stagnating…

My good pal Tanya says an artist is anyone who creates art… good or bad, it doesn’t matter… they are just involved in the act of creation.

With that in mind, I set myself a task… unparalyze myself from today’s comic and just do one that is funny (at least to me), but only takes my lunch hour to draw.  So thanks to Jim Hanson and his pointer to a guide to keyhole cartooning, I pull out the hand puppets and create!

No, this isn’t the new style of Slightly Off-Topic, I just wanted to put one up without worrying about the art… get moving again as it were.

In any case, the World Cup… I won’t pretend to be a football fanatic… my sports of choice are (in order) cycling, curling and rugby.  I enjoy a good match in the manner or “Hey honey, you want to go to Mi Zarape for dinner and catch a match?”, but that’s about it…

I do enjoy the world cup though… it’s that one time where everyone is talking sport constantly, and I actually know what they’re talking about…

…and that’s a good thing.
