I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again… drawing intentionally badly is harder than trying to draw well…

So the tale related above is absolutely true and happened pretty much as spelled out.  It is a bit of an exaggeration to say that the tests focused only on suicide… Mainly, yes; mostly, no.  They also seemed to focus quite a bit on sleep patterns, and let’s face it, my sleep is… variable.  I don’t get a full nights sleep for one of three reasons:

  1. I’m fat… which tends to cause heavy snoring which can lead to apnea like uber-restless sleep…
  2. My seasonal insomnia has kicked in… it’s probably not accurate to call it seasonal, but it hits mainly in the spring…
  3. I’m fighting against the fall of the day – I do, on occasion, find myself unable to climb upstairs to bed because… I don’t know… I can’t let the day die… I can’t explain it, we all have our quirks, that’s one of mine… eventually, though, the body gives in, and I collapse into bed.

So… for any sleep-related questions, I fared pretty poorly… but that’s the difference between a computer diagnostic and an actual human being able to process the whys and wherefores of things…

…but for goodness sakes, you’d think that Deep Thought could have let me pass one test…

In any case, the news of Mr. Williams death came as a shock, and it’s a shame to hear that he had been battling so hard against depression.  He will be missed… deeply missed…

…and as is our tradition at Slightly Off-Topic… Well played, Mr. Douglas… well played, indeed…
