Well thank you for that… I guess I’d like to see fewer politicians and more leaders out there… people who will stand up for ALL of the people and work to fix problems, open new frontiers… just a little inspiration…

Personally, I think you said it pretty well. … and also, politicians often aren’t great public speakers either. You only have to look at the Bush family to see that.

This strip made me laugh out loud. Thank you for illustrating (literally) the utter, mind-numbing stupidity of a sentiment that seems to be shared by more than one dunderhead in a position of power and the misogyny that lies just under its surface.

With you all the way on this one. I’ve argued for a long time that the efforts to make abortion illegal and all the moral grandstanding are a waste (remember, many of those morally opposed are also the ones who are first on the wagon heading for war- but that’s ok, those are bad people standing in the way of the god blessed USA…’s oil- but I digress). If there would be half the effort at education and even support services to offer options, counseling, health care, job assistance, etc. then maybe progress could be made. Instead women are left to deal with the aftermath mostly on their own (or else deal with proselytizing “support” groups). And of course, it is always better for a child to be born to someone who can’t take care of it, doesn’t want it, can’t afford it, resents it, etc., etc. Don’t mind folks having a stance, just wish it was more than finger pointing and saying you can’t do that it’s bad. Which is why I’m not surprised any more by these comments…
