Happy Easter, everyone! I hope you are all managing to have a good day today.
So… Colorforms… much to my surprise, they still exist. I have two questions:
- Why did we enjoy these things so much as kids?!? Seriously! These things were the bomb when I was a young’un, but I’m not entirely sure why… but we’d play with these things for hours, and we wouldn’t stop until they were too dusty to cling anymore… then the begging cycle to get Mom and Leon to buy us new sets began all over again.
- Why did these things never end up on the parents cars? It seems so logical now. Vinyl cling — Shiny car… a match made in heaven. Then again, maybe they never went on the car because of what might have happened had Leon caught us putting things on his car… he wasn’t really that big of a Charlie Brown fan, after all…
Ah well, time to check on the ham… Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to you all!
My Easter gift was supposed to be that of a child, but due to a slight change of plans, I don’t get to pick Brit up until Wednesday, and have to leave for Illinois today, so I’ll be on the road. I will however get the actual strips uploaded tonight, so that I don’t run in to the usual traveling issues as I did last week.

Just thought I’d take a brief moment to wish everyone a Happy Easter! I hope you find a way to celebrate the day whether you consider it the holiest day of the year or the ultimate spectacle of “Woo”, I hope you have a great day.
I, myself, am stuck at home with the return of the plague, but will make it festive none-the-less.

So, I actually spent several hours putting together the comic when, about half-way through, I was discussing computers and phones with the family and this strip popped into my head. I immediately ditched the former strip (actually, I will probably post it as a bonus strip tomorrow at some point this week), and immediately doodled this. It’s not meant to be sacrilege… just the result of too many iphone commercials!
In any case, I wanted to take a moment to wish each and every one of you a Happy Easter. Now go find those eggs!

Back when I was going through classes to convert to Catholicism (No, Mom…I never did convert, but that’s another story), I remember the surprise I felt when being told that Easter is the holiest day of the year. Perhaps, it’s a Methodist thing or perhaps I’d seen Mr. and Mrs. Kringle choose Christmas as their wedding night one too many times, but I’d honestly never thought of it that way.
In balance, I suppose it makes sense.
Savior born? Good.
Savior rises from the grave to redeem all humanity? REAL GOOD!!!
In any case, since that day Easter has taken on a slightly more important place in my life. It’s no longer Religious Holiday #5 (A little bit of Jesus in my life, a little bitter of Peter full of strife…), but a genuine day of celebration. Happy Easter everyone. Give those around you a big hug, and remember those who are no longer with you!
