You know, it was just by chance that I happened to grab my Purdue hoodie from the closet yesterday. But what a happy chance it was. While I only officially follow cycling, curling and rugby, I am a fan of all things Purdue, and will, therefore, cheer them on in whatever they happen to be doing.
During and after yesterday’s game against Ohio State, the closet Purdue fans emerged from their dark hiding holes , and all the world was filled with smiles.
Upon reflection, I suppose that most of the happy folks we saw were really Michigan fans pleased that *someone* had managed to trounce Ohio State. After all, in Ann Arbor, any time Ohio State fails is cause for celebration…
…but I’m just going to pretend that it was all about Purdue… and that this is a sign of things to come.
As per the contest today, I wanted to draw your attention to a nifty little sports-related comic. The characters are all personified sporting equipment and the artist hales from Canada. As there was no obvious place to hide a code, I’ll just tell you that I am accepting the strip number as the code today. So go forth and win a messenger bag, folks!
