Thank you for your patience over the last week or so. Life has been… interesting. However, my uncle is safely in his final resting place (more on that later), and Laurie’s aunt is safely installed in a crisis care home, so life can begin to return to normal. Meanwhile, the News Guy gets to head off to France, and I am very jealous. I could definitely use a trip to Lyon right about now…

I shouldn’t make fun… they have toned it down to the point where they are merely saying be vigilant as opposed to issuing a warning of imminent terrorist threat in Europe which is, I suppose, a positive sign, but still… I’m sure it’s all in an effort to support Mr. Colbert’s March to Keep Fear Alive, right?
I hope you all don’t mind, but I was feeling more cartoony… ne… muppety whilst drawing today. The benefit of still developing a style, I suppose, is that I can indulge such changes in my doodles from time to time…
Sean is actually a paid intern, so this sort of thing is all par for the course… just a little more rapid than expected.
We were back in Indiana this week providing photography support for a reunion which was interesting. The tabletpc decided to go in to failure mode, so I had to wait until I got back to The People’s Republic to finish this, but we did manage to bring something back from Indiana with us. We have one of my nephews for the week!!! A four-year-old uber-kinder! It should prove entertaining…
…I just have to remember how to entertain a four-year-old…
…Good gravy, I’m getting old!
Kind of reminds me of Arsenic and Old Lace. [Editor's Note: We again apologize for Dave's predilection for really old movie references. In his defense who can resist Cary Grant movies during his early, manic phase?]
This is day four of my vacation, and I absolutely refuse to go to work today. I shall have one day of vacation that doesn’t involve work…
…well… maybe a few performace reviews…
Well, here we are finally starting to meet a few of the folks behind the scene at the Slightly Off-Topic Network. I can’t believe the News Guy is going to miss the broadcast though… TV is a bad habit.
So, I’ve been on vacation all week. To give you an idea of the life of the boss, this is the first day I haven’t actually had to go to work! I’ve been spending the mornings dealing with equipment and training issues and afternoons at Laurie’s workplace helping her inventory the book depository.
Note to body builders: If you’re looking for a great upper body workout, I suggest you volunteer at your local high school’s book depository. Spend a few hours there a day or two a week, and I assure you that you will have shoulders and arms to be the envy of all! Happily, we should finish up this afternoon.
