Note to Self: It’s entirely possible that you have readers in Saginaw, Michigan. If so, it’s rather likely that you don’t have them anymore…
I’m sure Saginaw is a very nice place to live and grow up, but crikey’s does it make for a dull visit. Bay City has the benefit of being on the water but the town’s boat launch/waterside park is juxtaposed with the sewage treatment facility which kind of takes away a bit of the charm…
Now, don’t think we woke up one morning and thought "Hey, I know! Let’s go to Saginaw for our anniversary!" I mean that would just be crazy. Laurie is actually here for a conference, and seeing as it fell on our anniversary, I decided to tag along when she asked.
Yay…
Actually, it’s nice spending a bit of time away together outside the usual grind, so that’s a good thing, but Saginaw?
There is a t-shirt that seems to be very popular with the locals. It has a picture of a smoking handgun and the caption: Welcome back to Saginaw… We missed you the first time.
That shirt is really funny. I mean, who would ever come back to Saginaw?
