Every time I see these BeenVerified commercials on TV, my spirit is crushed just a little bit more. Where have we come as a society when we feel the need to do background checks on all of our friends and relatives? I’m a big fan of the information society. I really am, but some times, it seems, things can go a bit too far…

Oh man…this clue could be the clue I needed…at the very least it implies the code ISN’T a cryptogram…hmmm…
Though plugging things in to the past is likely to be an exercise in disappointment. It’s easy… with a little lemon twist…
You obviously haven’t had a sister about to marry a 2 time divorcee used car salesman with a kids with each and that very likely had criminal shinannigans in his background in an effort to ensure he wasn’t paying support (or much of it) while cleverly making certain it wouldn’t surface until too late. Oh and said sister wouldn’t believe any of her family… Wish this service was around then…
Well, that’s certainly true… one would hope that that was the exception that proved the rule, though…
Ah, I so wish it were the exception. Seems far too many such situations arise, especially with the abusive types. Anyway, you would think the job as USED CAR SALESMAN would be enough of a background check (and I don’t mean the temporary kind of just selling cars until I get my real job cuz I used to do real work type of used car guy either, I mean a full on this is my career type)…
I live a sheltered and quiet life…
c’mon, Dave, you gotta have SOME faith in your fellow man!
(btw, you should have that cough checked out – there were some red flecks in the napkin you left in the office trash bin the other day….)
Thank you for that! A great laugh to start a dreary sort of day! You missed a heck of a Penguicon meeting, by the way. So many people it was practically a convention unto itself!
