Ah, how sweet it is!  Let’s just add another ‘P’ to the chain in the Old Oaken Bucket, shall we?  I didn’t figure it would be traveling this year, but it was nice of the Hoosiers to show up and give it the old college try, eh?

Actually, it was an interesting game.  The reffing was certainly… interesting.  Lots of odd calls, starting with the initial pass interference called on the offense during the first few moments of the game.  Plenty of questionable holding calls on the Boilers considering the amount of blatant uncalled holding by the Hoosiers, but overall the calls were just odd… not biased in any direction, overall but… yeah…

The Hoosiers have a pretty good passing game.  The accuracy which has evaded the Boilers all season seems to come naturally for the Hoosier quarterback (multiple interceptions aside), and man can they fire off some rapid plays to keep the defense from setting up, but… and this is a big but, I have never seen a team stop and look to the coaches for a play as often as these guys.  It seems like every play was set, back up, look over to the coach, move to here… no here… what over there?… run around and tell the players and set again.  I’m telling you if this guy ever gets comfortable calling his own plays, he’s gonna be good…

…but he’s not there yet!

So, the bucket is ours for another year… you’re welcome to try again next year… good luck with that.

What?  What’s that?  Oh… I’m afraid I’ve never heard of this ‘Basketball’ of which you speak… (Dear Lord, this is gonna hurt…)
