Is it me or does Lance come off a bit… Winkerbean-esque in that first panel?!?
Anyway… I don’t mean to actually imply anything regarding Ms. Crow. I assume she is nothing more than she seems, very talented and genuinely nice. However, as I watched the Lance interview, I was trying to think of something Oprah could ask that would generate any surprises whatsoever as Lance’s fall is… well covered territory at this point.
Actually, I would have liked to have a Crow-related question asked. They were engaged, and she traveled with him during his Tour time. How did he manage to hide it all from her? Or did he? Neither here not there, I suppose, but an odd omission.
I wasn’t going to comment on the Lance story at all, but in the end, seeing as he’s made the strip a number of times, I’ve been a LONG TIME supporter, and I’ve made my team at work endure “Tour de France” days (by the way… guys, they’re not going away, so be ready), I figured I’d better say something.
And that something is that this has all just left me… sad… but wiser I guess. I’ll look inside for heroes in the future. At least it’s all in the past now.
