Yesterday was gaming day in the Adams’ household, so the guys came over to play a game of Dungeon and then several hours worth of Munchkin. Normally, we crown the overall winner as the person who won the most rounds of Munchkin. However, last night was an epic evening, and I won every single round!!!! I’m not sure what was going on with the other guys, but the cards just kept falling in my favor, and I couldn’t be stopped. I strongly suspect the next game night, karma will be fiercely flinging feces in my general direction, but for now, I am MUNCHKIN CHAMPION ETERNAL… tremble before me, ye mortal beings!!!
Basically, it was a good night to be me…
So every time I play Munchkins, I think of cards for my “fan expansion”. I have so many in the notebook at this point, I feel like I ought to draw them all out and print up a set so that I can play it. I was speaking to Mike of Wagon Webcomic Battle card game fame, and he’s just had his latest deck printed up by a new provider. They will apparently do small runs, so if the quality is as good as we’re hoping, I may do a small run.
Small as in two. One deck for me to fill time at the ol’ convention table for anyone who wants to play and the second for Mr. Steve… just a bit of fan art to thank him for the hours and hours of fun he’s given us all! Seriously, and I can not emphasize this strongly enough, if you have never played Munchkin, go out and grab the basic set and play! You can thank me later!
Of course, if I do draw out all the cards, I’ll have to do them in my own art style. Aping Mr. K’s style is fine for Slightly Off-Topic jokes/parodies, but it takes me long enough to draw in my own style let alone copying someone else’s style (poorly). We’ll see. I have to finish my print book for Interventioncon first…
Busy, busy, busy…
