Aaaaand we’re back from San Diego! Huzzah! I was off at Cyto 2013, and much fun was had by all… well, fun for those whose idea of a good time is sitting around *inside* with a bunch of cytometrists rather than strolling about and enjoying the beautiful San Diego weather and waterfront… but to each their own… Lots of interesting topics I’ll need to follow-up on, and a growing interest in malaria diagnostics and treatment… I need to build a little prototype to check some points mentioned… but that’s a topic for another day.
For the record, it’s pretty much impossible to take a picture of your hand pointing at something while trying to snag a panoramic shot on a camera phone…
Normally at these things, I’ll stay right at the conference center, but instead I chose a hotel a bit over a mile away because it was sitting right on the water over by the ship museums… add a few trips back and forth between the hotel per day plus the usual sightseeing, and Holy Christ are my legs tired!!!! I did get my exercise in though…
