Now, don’t get me wrong. I say this as a lifetime Cubs fan… and I’m telling you, this is our year, but the Red Wings… yeeesh! I mean when you watch the Cubs, you expect to be entertained… and you know… you could win. With the Red Wings, you expect the cup… or at least you used to… A 3-1 lead guys…
I just think it would be better for the logo to match the team’s current capabilities is all…
Let me put it this way…how much do I despise the Red Wings? Comparatively, I’m a raving Purdue fan. That’s how much I hate them. I actually stopped watching hockey, I hate them so much. JUST MISS THE FREAKING PLAYOFFS FOR ONCE, WOULD IT KILL YOU?!! COLUMBUS DESERVED THAT SPOT MORE!!
So, good on the Blackhawks. Thanks for driving the stake through that vampire’s heart. No fan of them, but my two favorite hockey teams are the Blues and whoever’s playing the Red Wings.

I feel about the Blackhawks the same way you feel about the Wings! We appear to be ever-opposed when it comes to sports.

Blues fandom is weird. The over-45 fans hate the Blackhawks more, while the under-45 set hates the Red Wings more. I think it has to do with the fact that the Blues’ record-setting 25 years in a row in the playoffs record – their only real claim to bragging rights – is in jeopardy thanks to Detroit NEVER SUCKING. SUCK, DAMN YOU!! XD
