So, no… this is just an image and not a comic, but it’s also Saturday morning and not Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday, so we’re good.
Anyways, after a message from a reader complaining about “unwarranted” snarkiness regarding women’s fashion, I thought I’d pop up a drawing of an outfit I saw yesterday that really caught my eye. Don’t get me wrong, I stand by my shoes comment, but I do tend to dwell on the idiotic when dealing with fashion issues. Ms. Dunham was on the Daily Show the other night though, and I’m pleased to report she got on and off stage all by herself, so maybe she’s kicked the offending “shoes” to the curb.
In any case, I was walking to the lab Friday morning, and this woman strolls by in a skirt made entirely of old neckties… I’m not doing it justice with the drawing above, but it was honestly awesome looking. Coupled with the jacket and black combats, it was just a great, simple look… and no part of the outfit seemed to be crippling her in any way.
In any case, it made me smile. Also, for reasons I am not entirely clear on, I am inordinately pleased with above drawing… it’s just a sketch, but I… like it.
