This is probably a bit snarkier than necessary considering that my entire life can be written off as one big fashion disaster, but I’m sick as a dog and frankly don’t care! Here’s a quick guideline, if the earrings are longer than your neck, they’re probably a bad idea. Doesn’t it hurt having an armored sash hanging from each earlobe?!? Just curious.
I suppose there are only a select few who will even get this reference, but what can I do? I know… I’ll crawl back into bed!

There is no such thing as earrings that are too big. You’re talkin’ to a woman whose collection of large and unusual earrings is famous in song and story amongst my friends.
I agree that there is a time and a place for ginormous earrings, and sometimes folks miss the mark, but there is nothing wrong with big earrings in and of themselves. As with other things in this vast world of ours, it’s not the size, it’s how you use them. X D
I knew I’d get some flack for this. I’m not coming out against big earrings, per se. They’re fine, but when the when the mere act of tilting your head forward makes them lay on your shoulders like a jewel-encrusted stole, they look a little silly.
My honest thought was why is she wearing those dog ears…
Well, if you have a tiny head (which she does) and are built like a swizzle stick (which she is), then yeah, large earrings are really not a wise choice.
Fortunately (or unfortunately), I have a lion-sized head and I’m most definitely *not* built like a swizzle stick. Big earrings are a go!
Your personality and smile can also carry the earrings, so it’s all good. 😉
