I could tell by the way the word blocks (sorry, I’m not familiar with the correct terms) in the second panels/the fact that they were sitting in the drive-thru/the reference to the “is what I’m gonna pay” that it was spoofing a commercial I’d seen, but I’d been trying to block out that particular Taco Bell commercial for quite awhile.
I don’t know. There was a certain joy the first time I saw that commercial. I took it as evidence that the world really was crazy, and that I was, after all, okay…
