So… yeah . That first panel probably looks a wee bit familiar. The simple fact is that while I was busy working on this, I decided that I wanted to talk about the movie and Keanu. The more I thought about it, the more the one-panel conversation between Jet and Spike made more sense for that conversation… and let’s face it… Sunday’s joke wrote itself!
In any case, we now have the second appearance of the Bebop Babies! I do enjoy drawing them, but of course, not all of you, my dear readers, are anime fans, so as is the policy around these parts, we’ll see them very infrequently. Just as well as I don’t think Little Faye can take too many losses to Spike!
So, on the subject of movies, have you guys seen Up! yet? No spoilers, please, as I haven’t (I haven’t seen Wall-E, yet), but I must admit that I’m intrigued. I’ll probably grab the family and see it on Sunday.
I love anime (but to be honest, have only seen the more well-known ones – “Ninja Scroll”, “Fist of the North Star”, “Armitage III”, “Ghost in the Shell”, etc…), and there’s something to be said of filling a column with something you love, but I’m glad you also keep the fans in mind when creating strips.
I was supposed to go see “Up” (3-D) on Friday w/ my family, but plans changed, so I couldn’t tell you. Enjoy it when/if you do go!
Well, if you’ve never seen Bebop, you really should pencil it in to your to-do list. Well worth the effort, and the sound track is EXCELLENT.
