Ah, how I love the Old Oaken Bucket game, the only football game I can ever really be bothered to watch. For those keeping track, that puts the overall record at 56 wins for Purdue, 26 for IU and 3 ties. God, it must be depressing for Hoosier Alums to think about this game. Still it wasn’t a total route. Purdue did try and let them win the game in the third quarter for a bit, but unless they wanted to score the touchdowns for IU, there really was no chance.
So, IU sucks at Football… what else is new? I still love Bloomington and the IU campus.
I’ve had a surprising lack of entries from last weeks laptop bag competition. All four points are still available folks.
One final point about the game, it’s possible that the competition/rivalry grows with age. Perhaps we 40-somethings and 30-somethings take things a bit more seriously than do the students and recent grads. I’ll have to ask Jeff and Mike about it.

Ah, yes, the mighty Boilers! Good luck in your bowl game!
Oh, waaaaiiiitttt…that’s right…you also suck too much for a bowl! 😉
That’s true Jason. We’re not in a bowl… of course we’re not ending our season with a 1-7 record either… 😛
What fun is winnin’ if you can’t rub it in a little. I am from MS but I have liked Purdue ever since I saw Drew Breeze put a huge whoopin on Noter Dame.
Amen, my brother!
