So, this shouldn’t be taken as any sort of reflection on the Sherlock Holmes movie. I had a tremendously long Penguicon meeting yesterday and decided to wait until this morning to go see the movie.
Sticking with my original strip allows me to point you to the somewhat unlikely, but enjoyable site found here. That ought to be enough canon for anyone!
Hmmm… Sunday contest time… I’m not the only strip to have commented on the x-movies. I suggest you set the wayback for May 26, 2006 and see what you can find…

Aww – I liked X-Men Origins: Wolverine (and keep in mind, I’m married to a comic book nerd whose first comic was a copy of Uncanny X-Men). I’d always cringed at the Gambit in the cartoon (90s) X-Men series, and I loved the way they handled him in this. But I get you as far as things not being canon. The general consensus among “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” tv show fans is that “we’re” getting some of the same packaged “poo” in the Season 8 Comics.
Yeah. I’ve avoided the Buffy comics figuring that when the show ended, I’d just let it go…
As per the movie, it just felt like they took a bunch of marvel characters, dropped them in a blender and said “okay… this is your origin story.” Not to mention the age of the movie Gambit compared to the Movie Rogue makes their comic romance just a bit creepy!
