I know, I know… this is supposed to be “How to Train Your Dragon — Part II”, but… they set the Gulf on fire, fer Christ’s sake!!!
I mean, if that doesn’t merit an interruption of this regular broadcast schedule, I certainly don’t know what does. And before anyone emails me berating me for mocking the Coast Guard, I’m not, okay? It’s just a whimsical alternative explanation sort of vignette.
It’s kinda sad, though, when the *best* option seems to be to set the Gulf on fire…
In other news, I’m off to Penguicon! Cartoonists in residence will include: Tanya Higgins, Mark Savary, Ahmed Fahim, FesWorks, Kez, Howard Taylor, R. Milholland, David Willis, Matt and Darcy Sowers, Tara Tallan, Adam Smithee, Jason Dunstan, Megan Rose Gedris, Alex Heberling, Chris Hallbeck and, of course, myself. Why not come join us and meet some of these great people?

Yeah, I thought Cleveland setting the Cuyahoga ablaze was generally considered bad. Then again, we’re heading down there for vacation so I would rather not deal with oil soaked beaches and (more) dead sea critters so a little smokey haze now ain’t so bad.
I see you’re getting your pen guic on! Somehow, that sounds dirty…
That’s because it’s really Pen Gui Con. Being an opensource/scifi/gaming/webcomics/eco sort of con, that makes much more sense.
I doubt that it will be a little smokey haze, though, unless they manage to shut that thing off. It’s getting bad.
Not sure Pen Gui Con helps much…sounds like a parolee from Phuket…
I have a feeling our vacation is going to be an eco-cation. Better pack a few cases of Palmolive…
Or at least some sort of moist towelette
