That background… even with reduced colors… not at all worth it… tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap….
Larry actually announced his intended retirement some time ago, but I was reminded of it yesterday whilst listening to the radio, and as always, an image popped in to my head which could only be exercised via doodling. I’ll probably get in trouble as someone will take this as a swipe against all old people as opposed to simply a Larry King gag, but that’s life, I suppose.

You gain +100 Webcartoonist points for doing the background by hand, rather than taking the easy way with Google image search…
I *did* do a google image search. That’s how I new what the background looked like, but yeah… tap, tap, tap… kinda reminded me of making pictures with a light bright!

Love it!
And I’m very impressed that you did all that putzy detail background work click by click! Nicely done!
The Febreze comment was a particularly nice touch. You snarky camper, you. >: )
I think it was Kevin Pollak that came up with the Larry King game. First, you have Larry reveal something about himself that no one would ever want to know, then pick a city with an amusing name and have the caller go ‘Live with Larry King’.
It took a bit to come up with the Febreeze comment which evoked the proper imagery without crossing the taste/off-color barrier across which all my initial thoughts seemed to lie…
The desk hides all the (un)life support equipment he’s hooked up to (he actually has no lower torso), so when they say they’re pulling the plug on the show, they mean it literally.
Nice! I had been wondering about his legs as it’s been years since I’ve seen him standing. Interestingly, he’s in discussions with Seacrest to do a radio show. Since video isn’t required, maybe they are just planning on transferring his mind over to silicon. If it works, they can always bring him back to TV via Max Headroom technology…
…hmmm… I’ll have to write that down… there’s a comic in all that imagery…
