Happy Halloween, everyone. I wasn’t sure how the News Guy was going to improve on his WWI Flying Ace costume from last year, but I think he managed to pull it off!
We’re all set for Halloween around here. The neighborhood is doing an organized “Trick or Treating”, so we expect to do a lot more business that usual. As such, we’ve significantly stocked up on the Halloween goodies. Everything is in order and the only thing I have to do today is to shower and pick Brit and friends up from Youmacon. How about you guys? Any big plans tonight?

Yeah Butch Cassidy! I actually did see a couple go as Calvin and Hobbes one year.
Awesome! That would make a cool costume if done right. I wasn’t sure if anyone would get the Sundance reference in this day and age, but you did, so I guess we’re good…
Yeah 60’s references I’m going to get. Although, as Miz Mezzolibra and I discovered while watching the Paul Lynde Halloween special….70’s references I tend NOT to get at all!
But yes Butch and Sundance is one of my all time favorite movies. “Who ARE those guys?”
Oh no! The sun’s going supernova! It’s the end of the world!
(I’m just being silly/annoying; also, the C & H set-up is awesome!)
okay… okay… smaller sun in the future…
It’s actually quite stylistic, I was just joking. I maaay have come out a little meaner than I’d intended to?
No, no… I understood that… what I needed to do was a smaller sun and a nice “ray” effect, but the translation from brain to hand doesn’t always work…
I think Jane is flirting with me…that temptress!
Now that you’ve done it, C&H and BC&TSK do seem to have intermeshing characteristics that lend themselves to mashing the two up a bit. I can think of several more. Without giving too much away, do you have more of these planned?
Would you believe that I’ve never actually seen the movie? I knew of the leaping scene, so I had to Netflix it to get the dialog… It is on my to-do queue, though. As per the mash-ups, judging by the comic I just uploaded, not right away, but keep an eye out as you never know what will pop up around here…
