Anyway, so this is one of the many things I do for a living… argue with people about what is, and is not, the purported population of interest. Flow Cytometry is like that… you have to be careful because it is very easy to make negative look positive and positive negative. One has to be very careful about experimental integrity… but when it works, gosh it’s a neat thing!

Part of my job is always to advise… and then draw the damn gate! As aldefluor goes, those are actually fine looking… it’s when the inhibitor isn’t working that the gates get iffy… kind of like side pop.
