So yeah… I’ve seen the movie twice so far… there’s a reasonably good chance that I’ll go see it again as well… such is the life of a comic book geek, I suppose.
This will probably be a short post because, while I can’t imagine this is true, it is at least possible that there are some people out there who haven’t seen the movie. People in the hospital and such…
But WOW! Remember when DC was kicking Marvel’s butt because they couldn’t make a watchable movie to save their lives?!? Man, that has changed. This thing had exactly the right mix of story, action and comedy to keep you engaged throughout the entire film… and is it me, or did the Hulk just steal the show?
…and how about the sneak peek of the next Big Bad?!? I did not see that coming… at all. I’d be hesitant to think that they’ll be able to pull him off in a movie, but let’s face it. They made Loki a viable movie character. If you can do that, you can do anything!
But they really should have let Hank in the film… Hank rocks!

Foo… The boy is with me in wanting to see Avengers, the girls not so much. Unfortunately, I have to wait until the boy’s schedule allows (smack in the middle of baseball season). So I have yet to see it (boo hoo).
For the record though, can’t say I’m likely to miss the inclusion of Hank. Ant Man, really? Cue the heavy base music and overly dramatic baratone announcer voice… “He’ll ruin the bad guy’s picnic!” And where did you get the image for the poster behind your Hank? Looks like he has birds flying out of his crotch…
That would be an image of Hank as Yellow Jacket from the Marvelpedia… As he has grown to about 10 stories tall in that image, I suspect it is more of a bird strike on his crotch…
In theory there is an actual Ant Man movie in the works (though set in the 40’s a la Tales to Astonish). I’ll believe it when I see it.
Ok, admittedly my recollections about Ant Man and Yellow Jacket are very, very fuzzy (as are most of my repressed disturbing childhood memories), but I thought growing to 10 stories tall was Apache Chief’s shtick? Inyuk-chuk!
