You know there wasn’t anything wrong with the underlying message of Qualcomms CES keynote.  (Trust me… clicking that link is worth your time if you haven’t seen the highlights of the keynote.)  All they were trying to say is that world is change.  This is not the 90’s… just like the 90’s weren’t the 80’s… or the 70’s… or 1853.  I get it.  Kids are growing up differently today than they did in my day (in the before time… the long, long ago…).  I’ve mentioned before how frustrating it could be to watch my daughter sit there for an hour skyping with her friend… across the friggin’ street!!!!  But of course, she wasn’t just skyping…. she was skyping while simul-streaming an anime with another friend, while reading a fan fic and writing a short story… multitasking at it’s finest.

And now with the improvements in mobile processors, maybe they can do all that crap OUTSIDE!!!!

…I’m just saying….

I actually feel kinda bad for the three actors they have being model Gen-M’ers… They seem so earnest, and all those pregnant pauses meant for raucous applause and met with… a perplexed silence… and what is with the Whedon-esque ‘gamer dude’?!?  Maybe it’s just my age and utter contempt for leet-speak showing, but every time I hear someone pronounce the ‘p’ in pwned, I just want to go on a nard-kicking rampage…

…but that’s probably just me…

As per the Nexus 4… it’s not an Android slam… I’ll have things to say about Android on Sunday, but I don’t get the Nexus 4.  How long have those of us with iPhones been nagged by the Android crowd about not having expandable storage, removable batteries and 4g LTE?  Then they release the next Google Nexus device… the model for all things androidy… and it has none of those things?!? Madness…  It does have a sparkly back though… gotta love it.
