The Color Run was this last weekend in Ypsilanti, and as per usual it was a hoot! I must admit that they did a much better job getting the color on you as you passed through the various zones… almost too good a job, really… The stuff made its way through two shirts and still stained me in… various… places… I must admit it is a very odd activity, but it’s a party in running shoes, so well worth your time if one is passing through your area.
I finally got around to trying out my new Altra Olympus running shoes… these things are the opposite of minimalist footwear with 36mm of cushion, but they have a zero drop betwixts toes and heels, so they seemed like a good idea to assist with the post-knee injury recovery, and I have to tell you, after the run, I had zero, zero pain in the knees!!! It was a frickin’ miracle! These shoes are staying in my stable…
…I just need to get the cornstarch out…
