Ah yes…nothing like a methane joke on Earth Day to show one’s maturity!
I have kind of a love/hate thing with Earth Day. On the one hand, I fully support not mucking up any planet I happen to be living on. On the other hand it certainly tends to bring out the hippiest and dippiest impulses in people. I will clean up after myself and try to reduce my carbon footprint, but I’ll be buggered if I’m going to be caught staring into any crystals and chanting for mother earth. Of course, if that’s your thing, go for it. Just please try and pick up your trash when leaving the park.
As per the bottle water thing, my wife and I tend to disagree on that subject. She is a Dasani-phile. I, on the other hand, drink that stuff that comes out of the faucet…usually after it’s sat in a jug in the fridge for a bit (I luvs me my cold water). We agree to disagree, but at least she’s not flying water in from another continent.
Now go out and take a walk…or ride your bike or something. Get some fresh air while it lasts!

Methane jokes are intellectual! They make you think about things like olfactory receptors, leguminosae and surface temperature anomalies….
Oh that reminds me of the days of organic chem lab. The discussion of methane, esters and malodorous compounds often reached epic (and comic) proportions!

I pledge not to drive on Earth Day!
Yes! It’s true!!
Also, I have no car nor driver’s license. But that is not the point!
there is nothing wrong with a good methane emmission. Just make sure it’s JUST a methane emmission.
The mere fact that you say that indicates that you’ve never met my old college roommate!
