Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been using a blog in one form or another…well…for a very, long time…’96, I believe. Social networking sites are fine, LJ is my personal favorite as the layout is smooth and logical. Facebook…kinda makes my brain hurt as the layout is messy and filled with…trivia…but, the app system is impressive. MySpace…well…until I take a spike to the head, I’ll just stay away from there…

omg you’re so right! I wouldn’t touch myspace even with a 30′ pole. I like my LJ too, though nowadays I mostly blog in French and barely update my LJ.
Indeed. A rather large group of my old chums have begun to congregate on Facebook which means I have to check the bloody thing on a semi-daily basis, but I really just treat it like a twitter. Also, I followed your link to LJ (thanks for the post!) and then on to 2 cents. I’ll be checking in from time to time as my french is suffering dreadfully from disuse! Love Quebec City…I spent a lot of time in that park behind the Leows…lovely!
I admit I still have an (unused) account on facebook. I was posting “weird” stuff, no false things, but the pictures up there wouldn’t show me quite well so nobody could recognize me on the street. I just got fed up of the semi-fake profiles you can find on social networks. Everybody is posting incredible stuff like trips around the world, and such. But that’s like 1% of their life, what about the other 99% dull parts? aren’t they normal like most of us?
Quebec City is now changing with Fall upon us: trees are starting to wear as many colors as the can during that season! gotta love it!
Sounds great! My wife and daughter have never been to Quebec, and if gas hadn’t just hit five dollars a gallon (we have had hurricanes before folks, you can stop panicking for crying out loud), it would be well worth hopping in the car and making a weekend trip.
It’s true what you say about blogs in general….mostly highlights with some goodly angst thrown in! 😉
