Bonus Strip – Those We’ve Left Behind
Jun30
It’s been a weird month for celebrities. I thought it appropriate to take a moment and think back on those we’ve lost. The strip is a bit large, so you can find it here.
Clearly, I don’t own the copyrights to any of the photographs used (if you do and this annoys you, let me know). Though I believe it is fully self-explanatory if you don’t get the Kirk Douglas reference, you may want to have a look here.
Very, very nice. I’m sad to admit I had to look one of the gentlemen up. I love that you used the quintessential Farrah shot!
Also, I looked at the other link, and I must say that your write-up on Charlton Heston was excellent. As bad as it is criticized, “Soylent Green” is one of my favorite movies to enjoy and talk about, and yes – he was a great man (in my opinion) for what he had to offer off-screen, too.
Thanks for the heads-up on the bonus strip, Dave!
Not a problem. It was a weird month, celebrity-wise, so I wanted to make mention of the many lost stars, but didn’t think it really fit as a regular strip.
…You had to look up Mr. Travalena, didn’t you?
Unfortunately, yes – but when I did look, I immediately remembered him and some of the great impressions I’ve seen and heard about over the years. Comedians help make the world go round…
Well, he’s fairly well known, but not by name… nature of the impressions gig really…
