I know what you are thinking. This comic seems a bit behind. School has already started. Au contraire, mon frere. Here in Michigan, our beloved Governor decided that she could bring more tourism dollars into the state coffers if she delayed the start of school, so she passed a law stating that the school year can’t begin until after Labor Day.

For those of us here in the Mitten State, today is the first day of school. Brittany was, of course, less than amused when she saw the script. I maintain it’s all an act, however. I was always happy to return to school. School is where the GIRLS were. Of course, as a teenage boy, I was a rutting pig, but what else is new? Grass is green, the sky is blue and teenage boys think about only one thing.

But I digress.

School has begun again. Laurie is returning to work full-time (school employee, don’t ya know) and I’m…well…I work in the real world, so there’s no such thing as summer vacation other than easier parking on campus, but then, I don’t drive to campus.

Well, I’m off to bed. Laurie is already asleep which means, undoubtedly, that there are at least three typos in this that she will point out in the morning!
