And suddenly there was with the convention a multitude of fans chatting up Howard, and saying, Good God, I’m glad I came to Penguicon, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

I would like to officially announce that Howard Taylor has accepted the invitation to be our Webcomics Guest of Honor at Penguicon this coming April. Now, if you’ve never seen Howard speak in person, you are in for a treat! The man is engaging, creative, friendly and genuinely fun to be around. In fact, the first time I heard him speak, he was still working for Novell and was speaking about their decision to dive into the Linux market. I sat enthralled and entertained at what was essentially a marketing talk, and that, my friends, takes some doing!
Penguicon 2010 will be held April 30 – May 2 at the Troy Marriott in Troy, Michigan (but I’m guessing you knew that last bit). Full details are at the Penguicon website, but (discounted) pre-registration has begun!
That would be Howard Taylor of Schlock Mercenary fame, of course….
man, wouldn’t it be AWESOME if this comic had some kind of “100 reasons to go to Penguicon 2010” ….
I think we all learned *that* lesson last year. I wrangle the webcomics for Penguicon, I organize One Helluva Ride for AABTS, I work full-time, I do Slightly Off-Topic and I try to be a good husband and father. Deadlines for XXX reasons just tend to slip too far… 😉
