Let this be a lesson to you all…Humor can be a dangerous thing. Something to think about…especially on this Day of Fools.

Humor has always been a double-edged sword with me. I actually once got nailed on a performance review for too much humor on the job. Something about being overly sarcastic (as if such a thing were possible), and people not always “getting it”. Such is life I suppose. But my job, for all of it’s niche-science mystery, is generally fairly intense and high-stress(especially in those days when we were sorting for human transplant) , so humor has always been my outlet. As the bossman, of course, I’ve had to learn a bit more restraint than the old days, but I have a stereo, a few spare lasers, some useful optics and ready access to dry ice and alcohol that should help make this April 1st a good day in the flow core.

But that’s a story for another day. I’ve been reviewing the comic archives, and one thing has become clear to me. I’m going to have to learn to draw! Brittany’s sketches are useful, but we need some backgrounds. Just to break up the white space!

In any case, Happy April Fools Day. Be careful out there and remember to do it to them before they do it to you!
